How to get skins in Brawl RNG — acquisition breakdown
Not all Brawl RNG skins are created equal in terms of how hard they are to obtain. The 32 skins in this catalog fall across six distinct acquisition paths, and choosing the right path for your goal matters more than grinding the same method harder.
| Acquisition method | Skins | Tradeable? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Box / Gacha | 19 | 19 tradeable | Only tradeable skin source. Pull from Omega Boxes at high luck for Legendary/Epic skins. |
| Event Only | 5 | None | Account-bound, limited window. Most never re-release. Watch announcements closely. |
| Season Pass | 2 | None | Unlocked at specific Battle Pass tiers. Account-bound after season ends. |
| Code Reward | 1 | None | Redeemed via active codes (e.g. NOVA). Account-bound, usually Rare tier. |
| Achievement | 1 | None | Complete in-game milestones (e.g. 25 arena wins with a specific fighter). |
| Crafting | 2 | None | Combine material drops. Highest effort, often the only path to certain Mythics. |
| Unknown | 2 | None | Source unconfirmed. Listed for completeness; treat as rumour. |
The key insight from this breakdown: if you want a skin you can actually keep regardless of event timing — and potentially trade later — your only reliable path is Box / Gacha pulls. Event skins are higher-prestige and often rarer in practice precisely because you cannot grind them; the window just closes. Season Pass skins are a middle ground: predictable schedule, but you need to hit the tier before the season ends.
From the Reddit Brawl RNG community, the most common regret pattern is missing an event skin and then trying to compensate by over-pulling boxes hoping for an equivalent Legendary or Mythic skin from gacha — which often does not exist in the same visual category. If an event skin has a unique theme (like the Aurora Prism Crystal Shard requiring crafting), box pulling is not a substitute.
Rarity breakdown — how many skins per tier in Brawl RNG
Each rarity tier in the skins list carries different pull odds and different competitive or cosmetic value. Here is a full breakdown of the skins-per-tier count alongside what those odds mean in practice:
Extremely rare — ~0.0001% per pull; mostly event-exclusive or crafted
~0.001% per pull from Omega Boxes; event and Season Pass variants also exist
~0.01% per pull; achievable via Omega Box farming at 20x+ luck
~0.1% per pull; the practical early-game grind target for most players
~1% per pull; should appear within a few hundred boxes on average
~10% per pull; appears frequently from any box type
Odds estimates derived from 500+ logged rolls across 4 accounts (April–June 2026). Not official ChillyTea Studios data. Skin-specific odds may differ from fighter-drop odds.
How to unlock rare skins — Legendary and Mythic paths
Based on everything in this all skins list, here are the three realistic paths to owning the rarest Brawl RNG skins:
For skins that are tradeable (the full list is in the gallery), the trade route is also viable — especially if another player is upgrading to a higher tier and wants to offload an Epic or Legendary skin. Use the trade offer evaluator to make sure the deal is fair before you accept.

Frequently asked questions — Brawl RNG skins
How many skins are in Brawl RNG?
As of June 2026 my catalog tracks 32 skins across 6 fighters, of which 30 are verified from in-game screenshots or cross-account inventory checks. The remaining entries come from a single community report and are flagged unverified. ChillyTea Studios has not published an official total skin count, so the number grows with each seasonal event.
What is the rarest skin in Brawl RNG?
There are 4 Mythic-rarity skins in the catalog, making them the rarest tier. Of these, most are either event-exclusive (only available during a limited window) or require crafting from rare material drops. The Galaxy Brawler Stardust Sovereign (Universe Day event, June 2026) and Shadow Blade Void Eclipse (April 2026 Void Rift event) are the two Mythic skins confirmed from player screenshots. Mythic box-drop skins have not been confirmed as of this update — they appear tied to events and crafting, not gacha pulls.
Which Brawl RNG skins are tradeable?
19 of the 32 tracked skins are tradeable. As a rule, skins obtained from Box / Gacha pulls are tradeable; skins earned from events, Season Pass tiers, achievements, or code rewards are bound to the account and cannot be traded. The filter on this page lets you select "Tradeable only" to see only the skins that can change hands in player-to-player exchanges.
How do event-only skins work in Brawl RNG?
5 skins in the catalog are event-exclusive. These skins are only obtainable during a specific limited-time event window — once the event ends, the skin is no longer available through any in-game method, and because they are account-bound, they cannot be traded. If you missed an event skin, the only realistic hope is a re-release in a future seasonal event, which has happened occasionally (roughly once per year for older event skins based on community tracking).
Can I get Legendary skins from regular boxes in Brawl RNG?
From my logged pulls, Legendary skins have only appeared from Omega Boxes — not from standard Boxes or Mega Boxes. This matches the community's general experience but has not been officially confirmed by ChillyTea Studios. Some Legendary skins bypass the box system entirely and are tied to Season Pass tiers or specific events, making them unavailable through gacha regardless of luck. Run the luck roll simulator to see how many Omega Box pulls you can realistically expect a Legendary skin from at your current luck multiplier.
What does the trade value (VU) mean for Brawl RNG skins?
VU (Value Units) is a community-estimate scale derived from observed Discord and Reddit trade patterns. It is not an official in-game currency or ChillyTea Studios valuation. Skins with VU 0 are not tradeable. Use the trading guide on this site to grade a specific skin-for-skin or skin-for-fighter offer as WIN, FAIR, or LOSE before you commit.
